Sunday Afternoon At The Fair

Last weekend was busy!!

We took the kids to the fair to ride the rides on Sunday afternoon. It was fun!!

Cheney agreed to go with his sister on the "Strawberries" so that she could spin around FAST!!

This is one of Cheney's favorite rides....the Hanglider!

Chandler convinced me to go on the ferris wheel with her, even though I really didn't want to...that is us in the yellow cart....I was telling Chandler not to get to close to the edge. She told me "Mom, just hold on tight. We won't fall."

They kept their hands up the entire time on the Dragoncoaster!

Chandler LOVED petting the baby goats...they are pretty cute!!

Chandler's class got 2nd place in the art contest. That is Chandler's picture. It is a cowgirl.

Chandler found her friend, Madison. They love to play together.

The girls finished the afternoon with another ride on the Dragon...this time in the front!!

Rodeo Fun

Saturday night, we saddled up & headed to the rodeo. It was "Tough Enough To Wear Pink" night. It was Kase's 5th birthday AND he was riding in the Mutton Bustin' competition so we were thrilled to be at the rodeo!!

Cheney & Chandler were so excited to be at the rodeo.

Cheney & Karson looked so cute in their western wear. They are growing up way too fast.

Kase is the one in the white shirt. The boy sitting next to him is Kross. Kross was getting last minute instructions from his daddy, Kyle.

Oh no!! He was falling off!! Oh well, he did a great job anyway!!

These two boys just sit & talk all the time....sometimes I wish I knew what they are were always talking about.

After the rodeo, Kevin Fowler was in concert. Cheney LOVES Kevin Fowler. He was so excited to hear him!! This was his 1st concert to attend. He loved it.

Sadly, it took Kevin too long to take the stage & Chandler fell asleep....she missed it. Poor thing--can sleep anywhere though!!

Karson's Steer

Karson is Cheney & Chandler's cousin. He is 9 months older than Cheney. This past weekend, he showed a steer for the 1st time ever in the county fair. He did pretty well for his 1st time--he got 5th place in his class.

Karson is on the right. The boy on the far left is Kolton. He is Karson's other cousin. The man in the maroon shirt is looking the steers over very carefully.

Karson had a big fan club there to watch him!!

Karson is trying to get his steer, Volcano, to line up his legs just right.

Trying to lead his steer in a turn....the steer weighs over 800 lbs. now.

Cheney entered an art contest. On Saturday, we went to a reception for the opening of the art show. Cheney found out he received honorable mention for his piece.

Fun Times

Last Sunday afternoon, Cheney was running around in his underwear & cowboy boots....this is what he did today!!
