So Proud!

This is the message I got from Cheney's teacher yesterday.


Just an update. Cheney has read 901,856 words this year. Just another couple of books and he'll be in the 1,000,000 Word Club! That's quite an accomplishment for a 2nd grader.



They use Accelerated Reader at his school. He is reading the "Percy Jackson series now. WE ARE SO PROUD OF OUR CHENEY BUG!!

Birthday Party

After a busy Saturday morning, we had a busy Saturday afternoon. Chandler was invited to Keagan's 4th birthday party. It was @ Chick-Fil-A in San Marcos. I was very impressed. This store is brand new & the customer service was amazing. I will be taking the kids to that Chick-Fil-A this summer. It was GREAT!!

Chandler insisted on wearing a dress to the party. Apparently, Keagan likes dresses. Antonio also came to the party. Chandler went to school with Keagan & Antonio last year. When Antonio arrived, Keagan said "Antonio, do you remember Chandler, my girlfriend?" It was priceless. Keagan has a fabulous Christian family & we enjoyed visiting with his grandparents, aunts, & uncles who came for the party.

Technology Fair

Cheney participated in the Technology Fair this past weekend. He and 3 other children from his class showed the Powerpoint presentations they prepared after research Penguins. It is amazing what 2nd graders can do with computers & they did a fabulous job with their speaking skills.

After Cheney's group presented, we learned about how some high school kids are using the program Garage Band to mix music. It was pretty cool!!

Earth Day Celebration

Cheney's school had an Earth Day Celebration. We missed it last year because of baseball, but this year, we made it!! The plan was to have a picnic dinner, but the weather wasn't too good so we ate in the gym.

After dinner & a short PTC meeting, everyone went out on the track to run a Family Mile.

Cheney ran really fast!!

Chandler joined Keagan for one lap.

He finally let her catch up & they posed for a picture. These two love to play with each other. Keagan's family might be moving & we are very sad. I hope we can still see them from time to time. Keagan is a sweet boy with a sweet family!!

Donuts With Dad

This is "D" week at preschool which means DONUTS WITH DAD!! Chandler & her Daddy LOVE, LOVE, LOVE donuts so they were pumped about this day.

Doesn't she look grown up? Where did my baby go?

The Spender

Chandler loves new clothes....just like her Mama!! She decided that she needed a big girl bikini & this is what she picked out.

And she loves to model her new clothes, too!!

This girl makes me laugh!!
