Hunting With Our Family Is The Best!

When we are at the deer lease, the whole family goes out for the evening hunt.  So about 3 pm each day, we pack up our noisiest snacks and head out.

Chan hasn't really been interested in shooting anything until this year.....this year, she was determined to shoot a hog.  She did!!  She is very proud of herself.  I think her Daddy is proud too.

This thing was huge....she wasn't really excited about touching it though.

Hunting Fun

After Thanksgiving dinner, we headed to the deer lease....this has become a yearly tradition to spend the weekend here.  It is great family time!!

Cheney & Daddy always get up really early to hunt....Cheney loves the time he spends in the deer blind with his Daddy.  I don't really like him holding this big gun but he knows how to handle it properly.  

Chandler has been learning about sighting her target & today she shot a wild pig.  She was very excited but she does not want to shoot a deer!! 

More deer lease excitement to come!! 

Pop's & Grandma's Birthday Dinner

We celebrated Pop & Grandma's birthday together!  It was fun!!

First, we sang to Grandma!!

Then, we sang to Pop!!

It is lots of fun to share birthday celebrations with our family.

Today is Pop's birthday!!

We went to McAdoo's for dinner....YUMMY!!

After our meal, Pop was treated to chocolate chip bread pudding and we sang to him.

C & C had a great day with Pop!!

Halloween Evening

After everyone got home from school, we got our costumes on & headed out for some fun!!

1st stop was MaMa & Pop Stephenson's house....they always have special treats for us.

After we visited with them for a little while, we headed to Hillcrest Church for the Harvest Festival.  Our joined their church for some fun!!  

Micayla was a Go-Go Dancer, Chan was a cheerleader, & Cheney wore his "blue thing" costume....we aren't sure what to call him.

This is Cheney & his friend, Lily.....I thought it was funny that he was a blue M & M & he was a blue thing.  I think he kinda likes her, but will only admit it sometimes.

After we got home, Chan investigated her LOOT!!

We had a great time this Halloween....now time for it to get cooler!!

Halloween Morning

C & C wore their Halloween shirts to school.....they looked so cute, sweet, & innocent!!

Weirs Reunited

Last weekend, the Weir family was reunited to celebrate Aunt Merilyn's 80th birthday.  It was a surprise party....she loved it!!

Homecoming 2012

Homecoming was several weeks ago but I didn't post the pictures....sorry, school has kept me busy!!

Chan LOVES hanging out with the Flag Runners and I think they love her too.

Cheney was selected from Jefferson as the Matador of the Week and got to walk out with the Student Council for the Friendship Exchange at the beginning of the game.....we didn't know it at the time, but he was walking with the Homecoming Queen!!  

OHH LAA LAA!!

This season has been fun for the Matadors....we are actually in playoff contention!!  So fun when we win!!
