Laura & Ashtyn were here today so Laura could go to the State Basketball Tournament. Ashtyn got to spend all day with her Grandpa!!

We met them for dinner at our usual Friday night dinner spot...

At first, Chandler didn't want to have anything to do with Ashtyn. Then, she decided she loved her & Ashtyn didn't want Chandler to touch her. It was pretty funny!!

As Cheney was climbing into bed tonight, he was trying to convince me that it was okay for Lucy to sleep with him. He had Lucy all cuddled up next to him and he sighed and said "I love being a dog owner...." I will remind him of that when Lucy chews up his favorite toy or pair of shoes. HAHA

As you can see, Cheney & Lucy won. They are both sleeping in my bed!!

A Boy & His Dog...

Cheney & I came home by ourselves after church & lunch. Daddy had to go to baseball coaches training & Chandler went to MeMe & Pop's house because we have to go to church early to practice the drama portion of the Easter musical. So as soon as we got home, Cheney changed clothes & headed outside. The weather is beautiful & you would think it was April or May already, but everything is still very brown. Lucy had a great time exploring the yard--she had sooo much fun she is crashed out on the couch with Cheney watching Cartoon Network....I have a feeling they will be spending lots of time "watching" cartoons together...

Lucy runs really fast...she is quite funny when she runs because she frequently trips & falls flat on her face!!

Meet Lucy!!

Lucy is the newest member of our family!! We knew that we wanted a smaller dog to live inside (Chandler LOVES Shelby but is overwhelmed by her size!) and we did tons of research. We wanted a dog that wasn't too small, didn't shed, and was good with kids. After many discussions & deliberations, we decided that we wanted a Boston Terrier. Now, all we had to do was find one...well, guess what was in the Wal-Mart parking lot today? You are right!! A lady selling registered Boston Terriers.

Cheney is very proud of "HIS" dog!! I told him that it was the family's dog, but I don't think he is convinced...except when she poops or pees in the house--then it is NOT HIS DOG!!

Rice Krispie Treats-YUMMY!!

After we ate dinner this evening, we decided that we needed to use the Rice Krispie making kit that Uncle Jeff & Aunt Kerry sent Cheney & Chandler for Valentine's Day. I know that I should have edited some of these pictures out, but I couldn't. All these pictures tell the story.

A Few More Birthday Pics!

I know that Chandler turned 2 a week ago, but I just realized that I never posted these pictures of her on her actual BIRTHDAY!! Since her birthday was on Sunday, we went out to lunch with MeMe & Pop and then they came over to open a few more presents & eat leftover cake.

Chandler was very excited to receive her new chair--it is pink leopard print & her name is printed on the back part. This is her new movie watching chair!!

We had to be at church early to practice the drama portion of the Easter musical. Chandler & Terryn had to hang out until the babysitters came. Chandler was proud to wear her "BIRTHDAY GIRL" shirt that Uncle Jeff & Aunt Kerry sent!!

Chandler is definitely 2!! We took her today for her annual portraits at JCPenney--she refused to take them!!!!! We rescheduled for a few weeks from now & Bubba is going to take some too. Maybe we can get her to join Bubba!!

Cowboy (& Cowgirl!) Church

When Cheney got to Sunday School last week, we realized that he & the girls were all dressed up in their western wear. I thought they looked so cute!! I tried to get Cheney to stand BETWEEN the two girls, but he said "no way!!" One day the boy will learn, but right now he just wants to play "GIRL TAG"

Cheney & Chandler got some mail from Uncle Jeff & Aunt Kerry this week. We have been so busy and they haven't really had time to sit down together to open it. This afternoon, we had time!! They were playing outside together--something they have never really done by themselves & I called them in to open it. Needless to say, they were VERY excited!!
