Camping-Part #2

We had some special visitors to our campsite on Saturday!! Since we were only 30 minutes from home, MeMe & Pop drove over to spend the afternoon with us.

Cheney & Pop had fun playing in the water.

The answer is YES!! Chandler was wondering around the campsite in her panties.....drinking sweet tea....YEP, that is redneck!!

On Saturday night, the campground has a hayride for the kids. Luckily, Heather agreed to go with C & C. Thanks Heather!!

Camping-Part #1

We had such a great time camping. The kids think it is great to be able to jump on their bikes & ride around. They make friends & love it.

The water was perfect! The current was moving but everyone could stand up. The kids had fun playing around.

PSF-Shaving Cream

My kids LOVE to go to their MeMe & Pop's house. They like it for many reasons.....but the best reason is because they get to have FUN!!

The other night, they played with shaving cream. Who knew that shaving cream could be so fun? Maybe you should try it....get the cheapest kind, put your swimsuit on, and have a blast! It washes off easily!!

John Deere Green?

Cheney has been wanting to dye his mohawk a color. He wanted it to be blue, but he found out at soccer camp that he was on Team Brazil so on Monday night we dyed it green.

Here he is with the dye.....waiting....

All done....it didn't turn out as green as he wanted--because I wouldn't let him bleach his hair 1st before we put the dye on it. In the sunlight, it looked pretty green though!!

Relaxing On The River

Last week was tiring....VBS is fun, but it is SO EXHAUSTING!! We decided to head to the river to relax on Friday evening.

I don't know if you have noticed, but our Daddy has lost a lot of weight. He was proud to put on these swim trunks....he bought these almost 13 years ago on our honeymoon!! Doesn't he look great??

Boomerang Express Family Night

Thursday was Family Night during VBS. The 2nd-6th graders stayed after on Thursday, ate pizza, & then practiced. Cheney thought that was so fun!!

They presented the musical....the kids on the stage are the 2nd-6th graders. The preschoolers through 1st grade were only up on the stage for the theme song.

Cheney & Karson had a great week!! We are tired though!! This week is soccer camp! WOO HOO!!!!

Swimming Lessons 2009

If you know anything about C & C, then you know that they LOVE the water.....so much, I think they have gills! They had swimming lessons for the past two weeks & did a fantastic job....both of them tested & moved up a level. Cheney has mastered the freestyle & backstroke. He has to work on the breaststroke to be ready for next year. Chandler is starting to learn the freestyle & can dive to the bottom of the pool to pick up rings. She was the youngest child swimming this time. Her teacher & the owner were very impressed with her abilities.

I am so proud of both kids!! They love to swim. We have never really had to fight with them about getting in the water....getting out is another story!!

PSF-It All Comes Back.....

Today, marks the end of VBS 2009. We have had fun learning about Jesus with our friends & family. This picture is of Chandler & her 2nd cousin, Ashtyn. I am so thankful that my family is so close & my children can grow up around them. And I am thankful that we live in a country where we can worship Jesus!!

Cheney & Karson are going to VBS together this year. There are two classes for every grade & thankfully I was able to get them in the same class. AMAZINGLY....they are on the same rotation as the 3rd grade class that I am teaching so we get to be together, which means I get to take pictures!! YAY FOR ME!!

Chandler's VBS Experience
