Kase's Birthday Party
Tonight, we went to the bowling alley to celebrate Kase's birthday!! We had fun even if it was a school night!!
Kase turned 4 several weeks ago so he has made his birthday last a long time!!
Cheney won a round of bowling with his friends.
It took Chandler a while to warm up to the idea of bowling, but she finally did, she had a BLAST!! She is already planning her next trip!!
Karson, Cheney, & Hayden~~these boys are going to have a blast as they grow up. I love watching them play!!

My King
Cheney sang in church this morning. He has really enjoyed going to choir and CIA (Children In Action) on Wednesday nights. Today, they sang a song called "My King."
Cheney is in the middle row. The boy to his right is his friend, Jackson. Many of my blog readers will know Jackson's Dad, RJ Shanafelt.
He is growing up so fast!! I was proud of his singing today!!

Hair
This summer, Chandler started caring how her hair looked. She decided that she wanted to grow it out LONG....with no bangs. So, we did that. Then, she met Brynlee. Brynlee has naturally CURLY hair. Chandler does not. A few weeks ago, MeMe braided her hair & when we took the braid out, she discovered "curly" hair. I told her we could braid it into several braids at night & then it would be wavy in the morning.
So the other night, we did it....except she couldn't sit still long enough for more than 4 braids.
The next morning, I took it out AND....SHE CRIED!! She told me it was too big.....and puffy. So, I wet it a little & this is what it ended up looking like...still pretty cute though.
I am sure many more tears over hair will be shed in the years to come!!

PSF-We Are Family
Mommy's family is very close. We make it a point to get together as often as we can! Uncle Ernie lives in California & we don't get to see him as often. He has been in town all week. Tonight, we all met for dinner.
Grandma with her 3 children: MeMe, Aunt Reva, & Uncle Ernie. I am so glad that my kids have such a great relationship with all of their family. For those of you not here, WE MISSED YOU!! WE REALLY DID!!

2009 Guadalupe County Fair & Rodeo
We went to the Rodeo & Fair on Thursday night....it was FREE!! Good thing too, because all it has done since then is rained & been cold!!
Cheney refused to wear boots this year because he said he can't catch the cow with boots on.....
Chandler was a cute cowgirl!
We had fun watching barrel racing....Chandler wants a horse now.
After the Rodeo, we headed over to the midway. Chandler met up with Holt & rode rides with him. Cheney ran off with his friends & I hardly saw him again!!

Daddy's New Office
Many of you know that Daddy wasn't working for the waterpark company anymore. Because of the economy, people aren't building entertainment parks anymore. The company had to downsize so Daddy was looking for a new job. Pop's company was looking to expand & open a new office in a new town....Daddy was blessed to be looking for a job at just the right time. God is always in control!! Daddy will be opening the new location of Mid-Tex Propane tomorrow in Gonzales. YAY!! He is very excited & we know this will be an exciting venture for him!!
Since we didn't have school on Friday, we drove over to Gonzales to check out the new shop...it is nicer than the original location!!
Chandler likes to stand behind the counter!!

Brrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
Tonight, we headed to the Friday Night Lights!! It was our 1st game that was COLD!!
Cheney & his buddies, Hayden & Kyle. They enjoyed watching the game, but decided they would have more fun at the deer lease.
Chandler & Brynlee.....what cuties!! These girls got their giggle boxes going & couldn't stop.
After a hard fought game, we lost 21-14....BUMMER!!

PSF-Fun At The Fair
It is County Fair Weekend. It is a tradition for us to go to the rodeo & midway on Thursday night because we can get free tickets. Plus, we don't have school on Friday so we can sleep in!! Chandler met up with her friend, Holt. Holt is exactly 1 month older than Chandler. Tonight, they rode several rides together.
This makes me laugh! She MUST be a crazy motorcycle driver. I will save all these pictures & when they are seniors....GUESS WHO WILL HAVE THE BEST PICTURES TO CONTRIBUTE TO DIFFERENT EVENTS??

Cops & Kids Moonlight 5K Run
Saturday night, we ran in the 1st annual Cops & Kids Moonlight 5k run. It was fun to run at night but it rained all day so it was pretty soggy.
Cheney said he is running in the next race with us!!
Aunt Reva entered her 1st race....WOO HOO!!
At the last minute, we convinced MeMe to participate....so here are the girls!!

MeMe got 2nd place in her age group....GOOD JOB!!
I got 3rd place in my age category.....WOO HOO!!

Family Fun Night
Last night, the football game was in Kerrville. We decided not to go because it was at least a 2 hour drive there & Cheney had an 8 am soccer game this morning. So, because we had a free night, we let the kids decide what to do. They wanted to go eat & then see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"
They anxiously awaited the start of the movie. The movie was cute, but Mommy would have rather gone to see "Fame." Oh well, the kids had fun & that was all that mattered!!

PSF-Funny & Sad
Several months ago, we got rid of our truck & got a car so we could get rid of our payment. It is the 1st time since we have been married that we have NO car payment....I love this!! The car gets very good gas mileage too. I know that Billy HATES driving the car, but I really appreciate his willingness. However, he needs a truck....
He has taken on some extra yard work to make a little extra $$$....taking the lawnmower over can be a bit of a problem. The funny thing--when Cheney saw this picture, he said, "Who tried to do that?" Then, realized it was his Daddy's car.
