Belated Birthday Wishes

Granny Nette's Birthday was the same day as Daddy's birthday. We celebrated with her on Memorial Day.

Memorial Day Fun!

For Memorial Day, Granny Nette & Papa Jim invited us to their river lot. Granny Nette's family was going to bar-b-que. We had so much fun!!

Cheney enjoyed his meal.

But he had more fun playing with his cousin, Karson.

Uncle Chris was flying through the air!

And so was Daddy!

I think Cheney had the most fun on the rope swing....

GREAT FORM....I think he will be a show-off just like his Daddy.

Chandler was finally convinced to FLY with her Daddy. She came up smiling but didn't want to go again!!

Even Mommy proved that she isn't too old for the rope swing!

Mommy enjoyed floating with Chandler and my nephew, Kase.

Cheney was given 50 cents to tip over Granny Nette's brother, David.

The kids played with the sprinkler too.

The kids ended the day with a game of croquet.

We are tired, but had an awesome day!! 8 more days of school.....

Keeping Our Fingers Crossed!

Chandler has been "day time" potty trained for a year now. However, she has been wearing Pull-Ups at night. There have been more & more dry nights so we told her that when we ran out of Pull-Ups we weren't buying anymore.

The other night, she announced there were only 3 left & then she was a "BIG GIRL." The next night, she refused to put a Pull-Up on before bed...well, she sorta lied & told me that the Pull-Ups were all gone. I scolded her for lying but didn't make her wear a Pull-Up to bed. She has had 2 dry night & woke up to go to the bathroom.

Maybe we are on the road to never buying diapers again!! I am a little sad at leaving babyhood behind though.

Water Ski Bunny

This video might bore some of you, but I promised Cheney that I would post it. He has been working really hard for about 3 summers to get up on waterskiis. I think he finally has it!!

Daddy's Birthday DAY!

Today was Daddy's 37 birthday!!

We started out early on the river. We knew it would be crowded since it is a holiday weekend.

Cheney got some skiing in before it got too rough.

Just doing what she does best!!

Unfortunately, it started to rain so our outdoor fun was moved inside....we watched several episodes of "Deadliest Catch."

Such an exciting group!!

After dinner, Daddy opened his presents. I couldn't get a decent picture of Daddy & his goofy kids!!

Daddy's Birthday Dinner

We have lots of exciting plans for this weekend!! It is Daddy's birthday & we went out to dinner tonight. Daddy picked to eat at Bourbon St. Seafood Kitchen. YUMMY!!

Daddy says he only feels 21!! But we all know he is older!!

PSF-Operation Entertain Yourself

The other day, we were in the dentist waiting room. Cheney was playing video games & Chandler was bored. I gave her my camera to entertain herself. Pretty interesting....

Like everyone I know...she took a self-portrait....

...and a picture of her Mama.

This lady really intrigued Chandler....she had a baby in her tummy. Chandler has never really been around a pregnant person so she spent lots of time studying her. I guess she decided she needed a picture of her too.

This is Chandler's friend, McKenna. They are in school together and her Mommy & I teach together. They both went to see Grease at the high school the other night. Don't they look like future stars?

You Are My Sunshine

I know I have talked about how Chandler didn't talk for so long. I know I have told you how sweet her little voice is, but I just have to share again.....she LOVES to sing. She sings pretty much all the time. I know that my mom sang "You Are My Sunshine" to me & this is a song that I have always sung to Cheney & Chandler.

Make sure you turn off the music.....

PSF-Shaking My Head

There was once this beautiful tree in a backyard....

...this really sweet 7 year old.

This sweet little boy wanted a tree house. He has wanted a tree house for a long time....

This is that sweet little boy's really cool Daddy. This Daddy always tries to make his family happy. If you know this Daddy, you know that he likes to do things & do them BIG!!

This is the telephone pole that was put into the backyard....

Yes!! With cement!!

And this is the beginning of the really cool treehouse for the really sweet 7 year old that the really AWESOME Daddy is building!!

And all Mommy does is shake her head....and smile....

After church today, we headed out to MeMe & Pop's house for lunch.

Over the past week, Chandler has gotten more & more brave. Today, she was jumping off the diving board--just like last year!

She can even float for a while. She starts swimming lessons in a few weeks. I think she will definitely be at the top of her class!!
