Huatulco Market

Today, the girls (& Billy) headed into town to do some shopping. Luckily, Pop & Dean agreed to stay home with the younger kids. We had a great time. I have shopped in several different Mexican cities & we saw some different things in these markets. Karina told us that she rarely buys produce at the grocery store because the fruit is so much better at the market. I can see why!! The prices were great too. 1 kilo of bananas was 10 pesos. 10 pesos is approximately $1.

While we were there, the produce truck was making deliveries.

The pan (bread) in the panaderia (bakery) smelled so wonderful...it made me want to buy one of everything!!

This was different types of candy, chocolates, tortillas, etc.

Ok, this looks cool but it was GROSS--dehydrated camarones (shrimps).

I loved looking at the fresh flowers. They were so beautiful!!

Tomorrow, we are headed on a road trip. We are going to the waterfalls & tour a coffee plantation. It should be interesting--1 1/2 hours with 5 kids, two taxis, & no speed limit or seatbelts. WOW!!

Looks like you are all having a lot of fun! Is this vacation a lot different from the ones in Cabo?

Looks like fun!

And, yum! All that food. Is it bad that I want lunch at 10am?

All the food looks good. Just add boiling water to the shrimp and it will be just like fresh. I promise. Try it, you'll like it.
Eat all this and you'll never be able to get back into the travel costumes again (or the bikinis and speedos).
